Geothermal Services In Goodfield, IL, And Surrounding Areas
How It Works?
Would you like to use free, clean and environmentally friendly energy found in your own yard? Geothermal systems take advantage of the earth’s constant temperature (approx. 55 degrees F) just a few feet below the surface. A loop field is installed to couple the earth’s constant temperature with your indoor unit.
Call Us:
Water is circulated through the loop field. During the heating season, the heat pulled from the ground is transferred by your geothermal unit to your duct work or radiant system. During the cooling season, the process is reversed and the heat is pulled from your indoor air and dispensed back to the ground.
Benefits
Geothermal systems provide several benefits:
- Lower Operating Costs: Geothermal systems operate at a much lower cost than a conventional system providing up to a 60% savings off of annual utility bills.
- Enhanced Comfort: Geothermal systems provide even temperatures throughout your home/building.
- Quiet: Geothermal systems are installed indoors so there is no need for a noisy outdoor unit. Additionally, the systems are designed to operate “whisper quiet.”
- Reliable: Since geothermal systems are installed indoors, they are not subjected to the outdoor elements and require less maintenance.
- Environmentally Friendly: According to the EPA and Department of Energy, geothermal systems are the most environmentally friendly way to heat and cool your home/building. They emit no greenhouse gases.
Applications
Geothermal systems can be used in a number of ways. They can provide forced air heating and cooling, radiant in floor heat, pool heat and can assist in domestic hot water production.
